September 15th 2012 part of East Midlands Cultural Olympiad 2012

To follow our  recent successful  run of 2 night shows of the  The Loneliness of the Long Distance Diva Choreopoem musical play by multi-artist Carol Leeming  at Curve. 

Dare to Diva productions  plan a Music concert , inspired by the  'compelling' 'powerful ' story of 'Solitaire', the  Diva Character of the show. To celebrate and engage wider community audiences in the the Cultural Olympiad 2012 in Leicester. 

The  music repertoire, Solitaire's Suite  consists of an original composition  to celebrate the Cultural Olympiad ,  written by Carol Leeming, of new contemporary world jazz , choral compositions and for instruments. To make their  make their historic world debut with a Leicester Choir and Musicians - for the Cultural Olympiad . The Choir will perform with celebrated The Random Acts of Senseless Beauty Music Ensemble of professional musicians at the Peepul Centre in September 2012.

Dare to Diva are looking to recruit diverse community singers for a choir. As such, we have Community Choral Workshops - with FREE vocal coaching,  led by  acclaimed international Diva , Composer  Producer , Director Carol Leeming. 

Community Choir Workshops are at Peepul Centre from August to Sept 2012 . both afternoon day and evening sessions- during the week and weekends.  On average participants required to attend once a week, leading to the performance Music Concert in September 15th 2012 at Peepul Centre. All levels are welcome to join.

The  community choral music is designed, to be learnt quickly with e.g. brief lyrics . With a unique  world music approach , with a focus on unison singing and some harmonies, chants, a cappella with rhythms. With musical instrument accompaniment and importantly to be very enjoyable !
